Wrights Visit from Fairfax, 1908

Social news from the October 22, 1908 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 5:

Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Wright of Fairfax were in town from Saturday noon until Monday afternoon visiting his old friends, C. E. Owens and wife, and other acquaintances. In the spring of 1884, C. E. Owens came to Missouri and hired to Mr. Wright as a farm hand and ever since he has been a great friend and admirer of the Judge and his estimable wife. Sunday, C. E. Owens and family, Judge Wright and wife took dinner with G. P. McDaniel. In the evening they ate supper with Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Miller. The Judge has many warm friends in Skidmore.
