Some vacation and visiting news from the August 5, 1920 edition of the Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Will Visit in Wyoming
Mrs. George Manchester left Tuesday morning for Arvada, Wyoming, where she will spend a few weeks visiting her sister, Mrs. Fred Gill and family.

Sunday Guests
Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Montgomery entertained at Sunday dinner, Rev. and Mrs. E. M. Hoff and daughter, Miss Marguerite and Mrs. Edith Glenn and daughter, Dorothy.

Here from Kentucky
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ray and Mrs. Allie Thompson of Lancaster, Kentucky, accompanied Mrs. Maurice Thompson home Saturday, after she had spent a couple of weeks visiting in Kentucky. Mr. and Mrs. Ray left Tuesday, but Mrs. Thompson will remain for a more extended visit.

Went to Texas
Mrs. Will Freeze and daughter, Roberta, left Friday for Hereford, Texas. Mrs. Freeze will visit her father, Thomas Slaughter, who has been in very poor health for some time. Mrs. Freeze will also visit her brother, Charlie Slaughter, of that place.

Drove Through from Colorado
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Cross motored from their home at Burlington, Colorado, arriving here Sunday evening. They are visiting Mrs. Cross’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walton, and brother, Alfred Walton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Cross expect to remain about three weeks.

Will Visit Brothers in Montana
Fred and Bertha Mast left Tuesday morning for Charlo, and Polson, Montana, where they will visit their brothers, Clyde and Frank Mast. They expect to be gone a month or six weeks.
