Skidmore Garage Burglary, 1920

From the September 2, 1920 Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1, of course:

Skidmore Garage Entered.
The Skidmore Garage was entered by burglars Tuesday night. Several hundred dollars worth of new tires were stolen, and a Buick touring car belonging to Manchester and Dodds was taken also. The thieves were tracked to within two miles of Maryville before the trail was lost.
It is not known how the thieves entered the garage, but they drove out the rear door, crossed the overhead railroad bridge, and drove straight east out of town. They have not been captured, and at the last report no clue had been offered as to their whereabouts or identity.
