Rev. J. W. Ramsey.
J. W. Ramsey was born in West Virginia, June 20, 1846, and is therefore over 62 years old. He was converted early in life and joined the W. Va. Southern Methodist Conference and remained a member of that body for ten years. He then move to Missouri, where he united with the Methodist conference of his church as was assigned to his first station at Salisbury, where he remained for five years. Since then he has served as pastor at Richmond 2 years, Clarksville 3 years, Sturgeon 3 years, Shelbina circuit 2 years, St. Charles Station 2 years, Fulton circuit 4 years, Auxvasse 2 years, Triplett 2 years, and is now pastor of the M. E. Church, South, at Elmo, this being his first year there.

Bro. Ramsey’s ministry has been very successful especially has his evangelical work been fruitful. He has a wife and four children. His aged mother, 83 years old, still lives in his old home in W. Va.

He has been for the past two weeks assisting Bro. L. W. Gunby, pastor of the M. E. Church, South, in revival services.
