A Quiet Wedding

Mr. Julius Link and Miss Nancy A. Owens were united in marriage, Sunday at 3 o’clock, in Maryville, by Rev. H. C. Bolen.  The contracting parties are most excellent young people and their union brings pleasure to their many friends in this community and elsewhere.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin C. Owens, who resided two miles north of Skidmore for many years until two years ago when they moved to a farm near Maryville.

Mr. Link is a young man of sterling qualities.  He is a native of North Carolina, but has been in Nodaway county several years.  He has rented a farm south of Graham where he and his young wife will move and begin housekeeping, the first of the coming month.

Miss Maude Owens and James Nelson, from near here, were present at the supper, which was served at the bride’s home after the young couple had been made one.  Mr. Nelson and Miss Jessie Owens contributed to the pleasures of the occasion some excellent music on the violin and organ.
