Advertisement reads, “Come and See Us. We have some of the finest Illinois coal and we want to sell it, so come and ask us, we think we can tell you something about coal maybe you don’t know. We have been to market and bought blankets, comfort batting, duck coats, Mackinaws, and wool hose. Don’t forget us when you want husking mittens, we have the double palm and double thumb, we think is a winner, not for us, but for the man who buys. Come and see for yourself. Farmers Union Merc. Co., Skidmore, Mo.”
