Don’t Startle Mrs. Welton

Please be careful when calling at the minister’s house. From the February 4, 1915 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 4:

On last Saturday afternoon Mrs. W. H. Welton was taking a rest on the lounge, when someone suddenly rapped on the door. Mrs. Welton jumped up in a half asleep manner and in doing so sprained her ankle, which is giving her considerable pain and not being able to walk, Rev. W. H. says he is chief cook and bottle washer now. Mr. and Mrs. Welton intend to leave Saturday for St. Joseph where they will reside for a couple of months.
