Bilbys in Trouble.
John S. Bilby and his son Russell Bilby, of Quitman, Missouri; Ab Rossell of Maitland, Dr. W. Humphrey of Maryville and B. H. Bonfoy of Unionville have been made defendants in suits brought by the federal government in an effort to dispossess them of lands in Oklahoma, which they are aleged to have wrongfully taken from the Indians. Service in the suits was had by United States Deputy Marshal Haskell and they are required to appear in twenty days. The defendants are prominent men in their respective communities. — St. Joseph News-Press.
