Beverlin Writes from Wray, Colorado

From the September 8, 1910 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 4:

A Letter From Wray, Colorado.
Sept. 4, 1910.
Mr. Editor:
I thought I would drop a few lines to your paper. Health around here is good. We had about 3 inches of rainfall here Saturday and Sunday. Corn is good. We have had some little frost, but it did no damage. Wheat is making from 15 to 20 bushels to the acre. Fall wheat is making thirty and forty bushels. There is more fall wheat being sown here this fall than has been for four or five years before. I am putting in one hundred acres of fall wheat.

Well I will close by sending for the paper for another year. I like to hear from my old friends from Skidmore.
J. Beverlin
Wray, Colorado.
