April Fool Party

The teachers of the high school entertained the pupils at an April fool party, in the High School rooms, Tuesday evening of this week.

There were about forty-two “fools” in attendance. Among the number were colonial dames, movie stars, jesters, clowns, old fashioned ladies, Negroes, Irishmen, a dear old toothless grandma, even Charley Chaplin was there, who ever heard of him missing a good time.

There was no need of entertainment of any kind as just looking about the room would have been sufficient entertainment for the gloomiest of mortals.

“Dainty” menus, the size of sale bills were distributed and each chose what looked good to him. The following was the “substantial” menu: Mock Turtle Soup, Green Peas, Commentators, Hidden Tears a la Dumb-bell, Blue Points on the Half Shell, Committed Commodities, Duck, Salted Nuts, Pineapple, Chip Off the Old Block.

Everybody had a jolly time, judging by appearances.
