105 Miles in 7.5 Hours

Travel and automotive news from the Skidmore New Era, January 21, 1909:

Messrs Ernest Prang and F. M. Osborn came down from Leon, Iowa, Friday in Mr. Prang’s new Jackson automobile. They made the trip in 7 1/2 hours, a distance of 105 miles. Mr. Osborn is the father-in-law of Mr. O. C. Clark and accompanied Mr. Prang to Skidmore to visit his daughter and see the city.

Skidmore Auto Squad Has Reinforcements.

Ernest Prang of Leon, Iowa, who recently purchased the Covington general merchandise stock at Skidmore, passed through Maryville Saturday on the way from Leon to Skidmore. Mr. Prang was traveling in a 35 h. p. Jackson touring car, 1909 model, the handsomest Jackson ever seen here. The run from Leon to Bedford was made in less than five hours. — Maryville Tribune.
