Yuba New Sells Hogs to the Appleman Brothers, 1921

From the December 8, 1921 Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Bought 110 Brood Sows.

The Appleman Bros. bought 110 head of Duroc-Jersey gilts the first of this week, of Yuba New. All of these gilts are to be used as brood sows. Mr. New is keeping 260 brood sows for his own use.

Mr. New is one of the most successful hog raisers in this part of the country. He has had fat hogs on the market about every two weeks during the summer and fall; and before making this sale to Appleman Bros., he still had on his farm more than 1200 head. All of these hogs are of his own raising.
