It’s always good to visit old friends. From the June 18, 1914 edition of the Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 8:
Visiting Old Friends
Charles Conklin and wife of Russell Springs, Kansas, visited their old friends, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Duvall and other friends of Skidmore last week. Mr. Conklin ran a tin shop in Skidmore in 1888, twenty-six years ago. There have been many changes in Skidmore since then and Mr. Conklin didn’t see many of the old faces with which he was so familiar in those days.
