Swearingen is Caught.
Sheriff Steve Roach was notified last Friday night that Irvin Swearingen, who broke jail at Maryville a year ago, is in custody at Minot, N. D. Sheriff Roach immediately sent a reply asking that he be held until requisition papers could be secured. The papers were secured and Deputy Leo Atherton left Tuesday evening for Minot.Swearingen is wanted for the burglary of the Skidmore Garage, August 31, 1920, when the Manchester and Dodds Buick and about $500 worth of new casings were stolen. Henderson, who confessed to his part in the crime, is serving a sentence in the penitentiary now.
