Successful Club Meets, October 1922

Successful Club.
The Successful Club met at the home of Mrs. Ethel Wells, Thursday, October 12th, at 2:30 p.m. The rooms were artistically decorated with flowers and autumn leaves. The meeting was called to order by the President, Mrs. Mary Pfeiffer, who also led the devotional exercises. This being the first anniversary of the club the following officers were elected for the ensuing year; president, Mrs. Jennie Oakerson; vice-president, Mrs. Phoebe Linville; Secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Goldie Wells; reporter, Mrs. Nell Caywood.

It was planned to hold a hallowe’en social at the home of Mrs. Willie Goslee, Friday evening October 27th. Business being concluded, dainty refreshments were served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Goldie Wells, Mrs. Dona Tooley and Mrs. Lena Pfeiffer.

The following members were present: Mrs. Mary Pfeiffer, Mrs. Mary Linville, Mrs. Vida James, Mrs. Lena Pfeiffer, Mrs. Ethel Wells, Mrs. Goldie Wells, Mrs. Phoebe Linville, Mrs. Jennie Oakerson, Mrs. Fannie Peter, Mrs. Harry Mitchell, Mrs. Anna Dewitt, Mrs. Willie Goslee and Mrs. Nell Caywood. Visitors were: Mrs. Dona Tooley, of Pattonsburg, Mo., Miss Osa Bosley and Mrs. Rosa Bosley and the little folks present were: Susie Clare Wells, William Asbury James, Harry Warren Mitchell and Mary Elizabeth Dewitt.

The next meeting of the club will be held at the home of Mrs. Golda Wells, Thursday, November 9th.
