Text of ad reads, “Public Sale. As I have more stock on hand than I have grass and feed for, I will sell at Public Auction at the J. T. Linville farm, 4 miles northeast of Skidmore and 11 miles southwest of Maryville, the following described property, beginning 11 a.m. prompt, on Wednesday, March 15, ’22. Horses: 1 bay mare, 10 years old, sound. 1 black mare, 4 years old, sound. Cattle: 1 Jersey cow, 4 years old; 1 black cow giving milk, 5 years old; 1 roan cow giving milk 7 years old; 1 red cow, calf by side, 5 years old; 1 red cow, dry, be fresh in spring, 5 years old; 1 black cow, 2 years old, fresh, good milker; 1 red stock heifer, 1 year old; 1 red stock heifer, coming 1 year old. Hogs: 15 good brood sows with 90 p’gs at side; 90 head of good stock hogs. Sheep: 7 good ewes, all bred. 1 good buck. Corn: 2000 to 2500 bushels of corn in crib. Implements: 1 disc cultivator; 1 Rock Island gang plow; 1 John Deere binder; 1 John Deere disc; 2 walking cultivators; 1 row stalk cutter; John Deere drill attachment to walking lister; 1 double-row lister; One Ford car in good condition. Lunch served by the Ladies of the M. E. Church, South of Skidmore. Terms: All sums of $10.00 and under, cash.
