School Notes.
Skidmore Seniors will give their annual play next Friday, May 5. It is called “Cupid at Vassar,” and we promise those who see it their money’s worth of fun.Maitland had a good track meet. The day was perfect and there were about 130 contestants there. Craig and Fairfax were the high scorers, with Craig winning by a fraction of a point. We received eight points and one gold medal. Denton Peoples took the gold medal and five points in the high jump, winning first place with a final height of five feet six inches. Vernon Goslee won second place in the discus throw with a distance of 96 feet, 7 1/2 inches.
Our track team will go to Clearmont this Saturday and to Maryville next Saturday. We understand that there are ten schools enrolled at the meet at Clearmont. Those who attend will surely find it very interesting with so many contestants.
Carl Hilgerth is back in school after missing about two weeks.
Everybody is working with a will. There are only four more weeks of school and they intend to make the best of the time, so it seems.
