Most smaller items are transcribed in full, and you’ll see the full text of those short items in the Notes/Transcript field when you choose “view details.” Longer articles have been summarized, and you can obtain copies of those from the State Historical Society of Missouri.
Articles have been indexed by name and subject, and I recommend trying a search by last name only, first, before narrowing the search with a first name. The editors of the Standard and the New Era didn’t always enforce consistent spelling, so you’ll find entries for Adrian and Adrain, Gillispie and Gillespie, and so on. It’s worth trying different spellings in both the name and notes fields, just to see what’s there.
