Roller Skating Rink, 1907

Just in time for the holidays, we bring bring business and entertainment news, combined, from the December 12, 1907 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page one, of course:

Roller Skating Rink Open.

A roller skating rink was opened in the vacant store room in the Rodman building Saturday. Jack Keenan is the manager.

This sport has proved popular here in the past and it is safe to predict that Mr. Keenan will enjoy the liberal patronage of the skaters as soon as it becomes known that the rink has been opened.

Grand Masquerade Skate at Rodman's Hall, Wednesday Evening, January 8, 1908.  Parties desiring to mask should secure skates early in order that they may get their right size of skates and have them reserved. Everybody cordially invited.  General admission 10 cents.  Seats furnished for spectators. J. W. Keenan, Manager.
