Road Conditions, February 1921

From the February 3, 1921 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Claud Myers found the roads south of town in such bad condition Saturday evening that he was compelled to leave his Ford at the top of the River Hill. When he went back Monday morning to bring the flivver home, it apparently preferred to remain where it was, for it “kicked,” giving Mr. Myers a broken arm when he attempted to start it.
