From the June 9, 1921 Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Lost Barn by Fire.
A barn on the U. S. Reavis farm three miles south of Burlington Junction was burned to the ground about 10 o’clock Sunday evening.

The family had been away from home and discovered the fire upon their return, but it had gained too much headway to be extinguished. The contents of the barn, consisting of hay, some implements, a little corn, harness and miscellaneous articles, was lost. There was some insurance.
