Parnell Sentinel Sold, 1921

From the September 1, 1921 Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Parnell Paper Sold.

After having published the Parnell Sentinel for twenty-one years, L. C. Gooden and Son sold the paper last week to E. O. Stipe of Clarinda, Ia. In exchange for the Sentinel and the building in which it is located, and the Parnell opera house and its contents, Gooden and Son received 240 acres of Iowa land and the Sheridan (Mo.) Advance.

Mr. Stipe is not a practical newspaper man, but the Sentinel will be conducted by C. Bogan, an experienced newspaper man from Clarinda.
