Open Again

After weeks of an influenza quarantine, the citizens of Skidmore were ready to get out and about.  What better way to celebrate than to go to the movies?  The Royal Theater celebrated its reopening with the Mae Marsh drama, Fields of Honor.  Such drama!

Ad reads, “Open Again! After a rest of something over three months, THE ROYAL will open again for business Saturday Evening, January 18, with Mae Marsh in “Fields of Honor” by Irvin S. Cobb. An emotional love drama based on “The Shot That Rang Round the World” Dramatically, Mae Marsh’s most powerful picture. Wednesday Evening We will continue the serial “The Fight for Millions” with the Pathe News, War Review and a capital Vitagraph Comedy making, as we have oft repeated, the best mixed program we have ever shown at The Royal. Both Shows Will Start at 7:30 p.m. Regular Prices 17 and 11c.”
