Building news from the June 27, 1902 Skidmore Standard, page 1:
Odd Fellows Will Build a Hall.
The local lodge of Odd Fellows has been doing a little hustling the past ten days and will, as a result of their labors, have a fine hall of their own within the next few months. The contract has been let for carrying the new building, to be erected by J. M. French & Co., up another story, the second story to be fitted up handsomely for a lodge room. This bit of enterprise on the part of the Odd Fellows is in deed commendable, for they are not only getting a nice home of their own but they are helping the town, as well. The Skidmore lodge is the best lodge in the state, age considered. It is not yet three years old and has a membership well up toward one hundred, and it is putting it mildly to say that all of the boys are proud of their lodge.
