As many return to school this week, we offer a glimpse into 1918, when the Skidmore News reported:
New High School Building
Work is progressing rapidly on the new Dale township high school building that is being built 2 miles south of Dotham, to accommodate the pupils of districts that were consolidated in that township a year or so ago.
The building, which cost $10,000 is to contain four school rooms on the ground floor with an auditorium on the second story. The basement will be used for the teaching of agriculture.
