Nest Egg

Here’s a novel way to increase the church’s nest egg.  The idea comes to us from the July 12, 1906 Skidmore New Era:

The ladies of the M. E. church at Parnell have adopted a novel method of aiding in swelling the receipts of the church.  They ask all who have hens to donate all eggs laid on Sunday during the month of July to the church.  Thus the hen is made to assist in church matters as well as to provide food and raiment for her owner.
