Advertisement reads, “A Merry Christmas to All. What a dreary old world this would be if good old St. Nick did not come once a year to drop blessings in our stockings. No matter what the year has brought — prosperity or reverses, Christmas makes us all pause in our busy affairs, look back to see the bright spots along the way, and send messages of good cheer and gratitude to those who have been loyal and true. During the year just closing, you have proven yourself to be a good friend and customer. You have not only favored us with your business, but you have asked your friends to do likewise. For all this we are truly grateful. For the New Year just dawning, we will strive harder than ever to cement the ties of true friendship. We wish you and yours a most Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. The Skidmore News.”
