McDonald and Stovall Entertain, 1922

From the Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), October 12, 1922, page 5:

On Tuesday, October 10, Mrs. Jesse McDonald and Mrs. M. O. Stovall entertained the Royal Neighbors of America with a reception at the home of Mrs. McDonald. The house and grounds were beautifully decorated with the Royal colors, purple and white. An arch of these colors was placed over the gateway, and festoons of the same colors extended across the rooms and were caught up in the corners and center with great bunches of fern. A splendid dinner was served and the guests all united in praising their hostesses for one of the best social events of the year.
