Manchester & Dodds Buy Jeffers Building.
Deal Made Tuesday for Big Two Story and Basement Brick Building.

Manchester & Dodds purchased of C. E. Jeffers, the first of the week, the big two story brick building west of the Commercial hotel.

This building is one of the largest and best in the country, and was erected in 1903 at a cost of over $20,000. The ground space is 110 feet long by 58 feet wide, with basement full size.

A complete waterworks system was made when the building was erected furnishing water for each floor. The first story is divided into two main rooms, the east one being 38 by 110 feet. The west part into three rooms, the two rear ones fitted for an office and private room.

The upper story is divided into one large lodge room and several office rooms. The lodge rooms are occupied by the M. W. A. and Royal Neighbors.

The building is made of pressed brick, with the front finished in Milwaukee buff brick.

Messrs Manchester & Dodds will use the large lower room for hardware and buggies, the front west room for furniture and undertaking and the basement for implements. This will make one of the best buildings for this kind of a combination in Northwest Missouri.
