Laundry business, 1915

We’d like to send some laundry back in time and try out this service.  From the Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), May 20, 1915, page 1:

Has Opened a Cleaning and Pressing Business.

Tom Watterson of St. Joseph has opened a cleaning and pressing room in the east side of the Commercial Hotel basement and is also agent for the Consor laundry of St. Joseph.

It is Mr. Watterson’s intention to take care of any and all business that belongs to an establishment of this kind and will no doubt have all the business he can do.

Skidmore should be represented with a business of this kind and should be patronized.

The laundry basket will go every Tuesday and laundry may be left either at the Commercial Hotel or the Skidmore Mercantile Co’s store.

Cleaning Pressing - Cleaning and pressing quickly done. I have the agency for the Consor Laundry. Basket goes every Tuesday morning. Tom Watterson. Entrance east side hotel base.
