Land Development in Skidmore, 1920

Real estate news from the June 3, 1920 Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Our New Residence Addition.

The Atlas Land and Development Co. who a short time ago came into possession of the Miller land and formerly the Skidmore Tract, have today commenced the working out of plans for the sub-division of this beautiful tract into choice residence lots making it a modern residence addition for residence purposes.

This tract of land has been for years the apple of many people’s eyes for residence lots and we are certainly glad to see this fine tract subdivided. The old Skidmore homestead.

To say that it is ideal for home sights for use now or eventually is putting it too mildly. It’s just the thing. Laying high and slightly and so very close in it will be surely plums that the lucky buyers will get.

We learn that the gentlemen will add some very unique features in the platting of it.

Mr. Gene Mullins and Guy Smith of Fall City, Nebraska, are the surveyors that have the platting in hand. Mr. Andy Edee of Lincoln, Nebraska, will have the charge of supervising the general work.

Mr. Chas. Koock represents the Company as general sales manager for this company.

This company operates in different sections of the Middle West, subdividing and platting tracts and residence courts.

Further plans of the company as to the selling, will be given in detail through the columns of this paper.
