Katherine Jackson has a new pony, 1920

Lucky Katherine! A gift suggestion from the Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), January 15, 1920, page 1:

Katherine Jackson Has A New Pony

Miss Katherine Jackson is the proud possessor of a new pony. This pony is from the Black Hills of South Dakota, and was purchased from a real Indian, so it is a pure enough “Indian Pinto.” An uncle of Katherine’s, Clark Forney, purchased it for her, and it came by express, arriving Saturday morning.

The pony’s name is Pinkie Lacota, an Indian name, and from the eager little bunch of girls that were watching Katherine riding the pony, Saturday, “Pinkie Lacota” bids fair to be very popular among the younger set of Skidmore. It’s needless to say that Katherine is delighted over it.
