Golden Anniversary for Linvilles, 1922

Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tom Linville Completed Half Century of Married Life Tuesday.

Tuesday marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Linville, and the occasion was informally observed at their home in the east part of town Sunday with a family dinner. Their eight children, twenty-one of the twenty-four grand children, and three great grand children attended the celebration.

Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Linville and three daughters of Nehawka, Nebr., A. M. Linville, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Devers and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Linville and little son, Jack, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Linville and family, Mr. and Mrs. Francis O’Riley and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wampler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Money and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith and family.

Mr. Linville was born south of Graham in 1852, and has spent his entire life in this county. When nineteen years old, on September 19, 1872, he married Elizabeth J. Sharp, who was born in Clinton County, Mo. Eleven children have been born to Mr. and Mrs. Linville, eight of whom are living.
