G. L. Owen Buys a Marathon, 1913

Mark Loucks seems to have had success in Skidmore, Missouri in the early 1910s.  Here’s another report from the February 20, 1913 Skidmore New Era, page 4:

Buys a New Marathon.

G. L. Owens has purchased a new 1913 Model Marathon of Mark Loucks.  It has all the new up-to-date improvements and is a “pipin.”  The Marathon is a strictly “A No. 1” car and is handled by our local automobile agency Mark Loucks, the Main Street Garage man.

Later in that same column, we see that another Marathon was successfully on the road:

To Kansas City in a Car.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wells and J. W. Rodman and daughter, Miss Elma went to Kansas City Tuesday in Mr. Wells’ big touring Marathon.
