Friday Night Features at the Royal

If we were in Skidmore, Missouri in 1915, we could catch up with our neighbors at the movies. Here’s the lineup from the November 11, 1915 Skidmore New Era, page 1:

A Friday Night Show.

Beginning this week The Royal will begin a series of Friday night features. The bookings already made will most certainly please picture goers, as they include some of the most popular books and stage successes. The names of which are familiar to most people and are acted by some of the best known stars of the silent drama. In fact not a few are starred in the film that made them successes on the speaking stage.

Some of the bookings are:
“Paid in Full” with Tully Marshall, Friday, Nov. 12th.
“In Missouri” with Burr McIntosh, Friday, Nov. 19th.
“Brewsters Millions” with Edward Abales, Friday, Nov. 26th.
“Pierre of the Plains” with Edward Selwyn, Friday, Dec. 3.
“Soldiers of Fortune” with Dustin Farnum, Friday, Dec. 10.
“The Hoosier Schoolmaster” with Max Figman and Lolita Robertson, Friday, Dec. 17.
“Hearts and Flowers with Mrs. Thos. Whiffen and Beulah Panther, Friday, Dec. 24.

Advertisement for coming attractions at The Royal movie theater in Skidmore Missouri reads, “Coming Friday Night, November 12, ‘Paid in Full’ featuring Tully Marshall and members of the original Broadway cast. Eugene Waters five season theatrical hit. Produced under the personal direction of Augustus Thomas, in four acts. All children 10 cents. Adults 15 cents.”
