Even the ice man needs a day off

From the Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), June 15, 1922, page 1:

Change in Sunday Ice Service.

Linville & Riley announce that beginning Sunday, June 25, they will not open the ice house between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mr. Riley states that he was kept busy all day last Sunday, getting out ice. As soon as he would get the ice house closed, someone else would come and want ice. Even the ice man is entitled to at least a part of a day off on Sunday, and for that reason, the change will be made.
