Election Day, 1922

The ladies of the Christian Church in Skidmore, Missouri were busy on election day in 1922, as we see from these items in the Skidmore News, November 2, 1911, page 1:

The “Country Store.”
The Ladies’ Aid of the Christian church will conduct a Country Store on election day at the Linville building. They will have everything usually found in the old fashioned country store, and articles will be priced at their present market value.

Will Serve Dinner.
The Ladies Aid of the Christian church will serve dinner election day, November 7, at the Linville building. Prices 25 and 35 cents.

Menu: Chicken, Salads, Cottage Cheese, Bread, Butter, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Baked Beans, Butter-Beans, Turnips, Pickles, Pie, Cake, Coffee.
