The Wedding Day.
On Saturday evening, June 22 at eight thirty o’clock Mr. Alvin C. Glenn of St. Joseph and Miss Edith Torrey were wedded. This was the occasion of one of those best of all informal home weddings without invited guests. Mr. James Linville of Skidmore and Miss Eva A. Fenn, a very dear lady friend of Miss Torrey, were the witnessing parties.
The marriage services were impressive but without restraint, in perfect keeping with the occasion, Rev. W. H. Welton officiating. Dainty refreshments were served and the social good will crowned with delight the glad hour.
Mr. Glenn is one of St. Joseph’s aggressive young business men and Christian gentlemen, formerly of Kingston, Mo., and the son of the treasurer of Caldwell county. Miss Torrey is well known to the readers of this paper and a fine sample of the young ladies of refinement and character that our county sends out into womanhood and home life.
We extend the greetings of all our citizens to this young couple as an appreciation of the high esteem in which they are held.
