The Skidmore New Era published many letters to Santa Claus in its December editions. Here are some from its December 23, 1915 issue:

Dear Santa, How are you? I am well. I got to school I am in the primer. I have four sisters and two brothers. If you reach our house Christmas I want you to bring me a doll, horn, doll buggy and candy and nuts. I would like for you to bring my brothers and sisters something too. This is all for this time.
