Death of William Armstrong Rachau, 1922

William Armstrong Rachau.
William Armstrong Rachau was born July 29, 1860, in Center County, Pennsylvania, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clay Wall, at 11 o’clock a.m., Monday, March 6, 1922, at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 5 days.

He came to Missouri with his parents in 1879. He was married to Miss Rebecca Timmons, December 10, 1884. To this union were born six children, two of them dying in infancy.

Mr. Rachau united with the Burr Oak M. E. church in 1882.

He is survived by four children, Mrs. Festus Hughes of Chillicothe, Mo., Curtiss Rachau of Clearmont, Mrs. Clay Wall, and Frank Rachau of Skidmore; a sister, Mrs. Nicholas Palmerton of Burlington Junciton, four grandchildren, an uncle, Wm. A. Jacobs of Clarence, Pa., and an aunt, Mrs. Frank Brighton of Burlington Junction, Mo., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Christian church in Quitman, conducted by Rev. Reubin Barrett.
