Crist Shorthorn Sale, 1922

$600 Top at Crist Sale.

The Shorthorn sale held on Wednesday, May 31, by John Crist, at his farm southwest of town, was very well attended and the stock sold well. Buyers were present from Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri.

The top price of $600 was paid by Harry O. Brown of Lamoni, Ia., for the bull, White Joffre. The highest price paid for a cow was $555, which was paid by Irvin Alden & Son of Hamilton, Mo., for Importer Nonpareil with heifer calf at foot. The offering of thirty-eight head sold for an average of more than $200.
