Advertisement reads, “Christmas Greetings. It is the desire of everyone at this time to make somebody else happy by presenting him with a nice gift of some kind. We would like to make a few suggestions of gifts that are nice and useful and that would be appreciated by anyone. Silverware: There are always suitable presents to be found in the Silverware line. Knives and forks, table, dessert and tea spoons, sugar shells, butter knives, pickle forks, gravy ladles, carving sets and souvenir spoons. For the boys: A nice coaster sled; one without any nails, screws, rivets or anything in the runner to keep it from running perfectly free and smooth. Or a pair of good ice or roller skates, air rifle, shot gun, pocket knives, saddles, etc. For father, mother, husband or wife: There is nothing better to give Father or Mother, Husband or wife than a nice easy chair. We have an extra large line of chairs of all kinds on hands now, ranging in price from $1.00 to $16.00. Nice golden oak sewing chairs, reed rockers of all kinds, large roomy arm chairs, and the big all oak genuine leather covered Sleepy Hollow Rocker. This chair is a cure for that tired feeling. For the whole family: And if you want something for the family, big, little, old and young, something that will furnish entertainment for them the year round, that will play any instrument or any kind of music you want and play it better than any one you know, buy an Edison Phonograph and make the long, dull winter evenings seem short and pleasant. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year, we are, Very respectfully yours, Manchester & Dodds.”
