Centenary News, May 1921

From the May 12, 1921 edition of the Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 5:

Miss Laura Walton who has been teaching school in Burlington, Colo., returned home last week to spend the summer at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walton.

Bessie Lee Slauson is staying with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Shull, south of Skidmore. Mr. Shull has been poorly for some time but is better now.

Those who shipped cattle to the St. Joseph market last week from this vicinity were Charley, Roy and Dan Slauson, Chas. Nichols and Morse Riffle.

Those who attended the class meeting for the intermediate class of the Centenary Sunday School last Friday night were: Vernie Reed, Hazel McGinness, Mary Oakerson, Iva Williams, Verda Fray, Marie and Lucile Yeager, Edna McGinness, Maxine, Eldora and Frances Lee Nichols, Earl Al and Kenneth Martin, Don Williams, Ralph Shrewsburry, William and Raymond Oakerson, Elisha and Carl Yeager, Arthur Puett, Harland Reed, Leland Nicholas. The meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Nichols.
