Cardens Visit, 1922

From the Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), August 17, 1922, page 5:

Mr. and Mrs. James F. Carden of Alexandria, Nebr., accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Clate McClure, and two children of Pawnee City, Nebr., came in Monday of last week and surprised Mr. Carden’s brother, Mart Carden, and Mrs. Carden’s brother, J. C. Busby of Quitman. Mrs. Carden has not been here for fifteen years. They left for their home Saturday morning. They expect to go to Arizona about the first of October for the benefit of Mr. Carden’s health, which has been very poor for some time.

From elsewhere on page 5:

Mr. and Mrs. Mart Carden entertained at supper last Wednesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Carden of Alexandria, Nebr., Mrs. Clate McClure and son and daughter of Pawnee City, Nebr., J. C. Busby of Quitman, Mrs. Tabitha Goslee of Skidmore and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Carden and little son, Ross Jr., of near Quitman.
