Quilting, music on the Victrola, and an elaborate dinner? Count us in! From the March 17, 1921 Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Ladies’ Aid Meets.
The Burr Oak Ladies’ Aid Society met in an all day session at the home of Mrs. M. O. Stovall Thursday, March 10, with sixteen present. At the noon hour an elaborate dinner was served by Mrs. Stovall assisted by Mrs. Jesse McDonald. Music by the Victrola was enjoyed during the meal. Music was also furnished by Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Stovall during the afternoon.

Two quilts were finished.

Those present were: Mrs. W. B. Ward, Mrs. C. H. Ruddell, Mrs. C. H. Sauceman, Mrs. C. M. Long, Mrs. W. A. Argo, Mrs. V. B. Ward, Mrs. M. R. Hays, Mrs. Alvin Chaney and daughter Pauline, Mrs. Fred Haynes and son Donald, Mrs. F. H. Barrett and sons Earnest and Phillip, Mrs. John Barber and children, GloRena, Paul, and Sarah Ann; Mrs. Halfred Botkin and daughter, Elizabeth Ann; Mrs. Ross Appleman; Mrs. M. J. Squires; Mrs. Jesse McDonald and daughter, Eloise; Miss Della Folden, Miss Ophelia Ward, and Carl Wilson Ward.
