Burlington Junction Votes Against Waterworks, 1921

From the October 20, 1921 edition of the Skidmore News (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Burlington Junction Loses Election.
The city election held at Burlington Junction Monday for the purpose of voting bonds in the sum of $39,000 to install a system of waterworks failed to register a two-thirds majority. The total number of votes cast being 383 — 216 votes for and 167 votes against.
