Epworth League Party.
A party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Weddle Jr., Saturday evening, April 1, for the newly organized Epworth League of the M. E. Church South. Many of those present were dressed in costumes in keeping with the day. Gladys Stamper and Johnnie Fullerton were voted the best dressed couple. The evening was spent in playing guessing games, April Fool stunts, etc. A mock wedding ceremony was performed by Mr. Weddle. Refreshments of “eggs with a little extra mixture,” sandwiches, coffee and candy were served. About 35 guests were present and a very enjoyable time was reported.
