Banana Split Surprise

We support endeavors by any Endeavorers (Junior or not) that involve ice cream.  From the July 20, 1900 Skidmore Standard:

Junior Endeavorers Surprise Their Superintendent.

Mrs. J. T. Tate is Superintendent of the Junior Endeavor society in Skidmore.  The society has a large enrollment of the good little girls and boys in town.  Sunday was the Superintendent’s birthday and the President, Miss Fern Kingery, and Vice President, Miss Erma Sewell, had a surprise planned for her.

The little people entered into the scheme with a zeal characterized of their age; and when they went to Mrs. Tate’s home, Saturday afternoon, with an abundance of ice cream and bananas that lady was as much surprised as she ever was in all her life.  The afternoon was a very pleasant one and will long be remembered by Mrs. Tate and the children.
