From the December 23, 1898 Skidmore Standard, page 5:

Tennie Haynes of Skidmore and Miss Fannie Albright were married at the residence of Wm. Albright, Wednesday evening, Dec. 21st at 5 o’clocl,  Elder N. Rollo Davis of Maryville pronounced the words that made the twain one.  After congratulations, all were invited to the dining room where an elegant supper had been prepared.  This was enjoyed by all and especially by J. D. Montgomery and J. Ed. Bilby.  The rest of the evening was spent in pleasant conversation.  Mrs. Haynes is the youngest daughter of Wm. and Nancy Albright.  She is a beautiful and highly accomplished lady, has a large circle of relatives and friends, and was a favorite in this neighborhood.  Mr. Haynes is a talented young lawyer of excellent habits, and is respected by all who know him.  He has just completed a fine residence in Skidmore, in which he and his wife will make their future home.

The happy couple have a bright future before them; and may happiness and prosperity ever attend them, is the wish of the writer.  H. W. B.
