A Silken Soul and a Gingham Income

We have often heard the phrase “champagne taste on a beer budget” but thought that phrase less appropriate for us, as we seldom drink either. Skidmore, Missouri’s Royal Theatre had a movie on this date which perhaps offers a better phrase for us. Advertisement from the January 5, 1922 Skidmore News, page 8:
